Ira and Leather Craftsmen

We walked up the stoop to his rustic door. Ira peeked through a rectangular window— where a peep-hole would usually reside—and smiled. He opened the door and welcomed Drew and I into his very chic (and uber L.A.) home. When talking to Ira, one can easily detect a New York accent, and there were times I found myself half-hoping he’d say ‘Fuhgettaboutit’ just for kicks.

Drew and I were fortunate to be able to sit and talk with Ira and we had a great time because he’s quite possibly the best representative of Leather Craftsmen there is. Before wedding season is in high gear, I wanted to fully understand the process of creating and developing the best wedding album for my clients, so I turned to Ira. Not only was he able to explain the ins and outs, he really went out of his way to show us the many options we have for our clients and LC’s commitment to quality. He was awesome! So, for all my brides who read my blog, feel free to ask me anything about your album…I’m sure I can answer everything. And if I can’t, I’ll call Ira! :)

Here's glamor shot of us...

This was stack one of 1,679 stacks...and Ira floating around in the background :)

On a completely lame side-note, I had the opportunity to meet Ira officially last month and a LC get together for photographers in Los Angeles. I say ‘had’ because I didn’t carpe diem if you will. I was too much of a chicken…or introvert…or something marginally linked in that category. Ira spearheaded a pizza party for photographers to become better acquainted with LC, but I didn’t really have the cajones to walk up to random people and introduce myself, Ira included. This intimidation, coupled with the fact the party was hosted by Robert Evans-- famed photographer for TomKat’s wedding and many others—probably made me appear like my backside belonged on the side of a milk carton.
